Echoes of the Civil Rights Movement Art Competition

February 17

For the very first time, CGS is excited to host an art competition in conjunction with our Echoes of the Civil Rights Movement speeches.  Students in all grades have the opportunity to submit original artwork with themes of justice and equity, inspired by the vision of a future in which all people are accepted regardless of race, creed, gender, or orientation.  Artwork may be any media, drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, mixed media, etc.

After the speech competition, votes will be cast for favorites in three categories:  1) best interpretation of the theme of equality and justice, 2) most creative use of materials or technique, and 3) overall favorite work.

There will be an online gallery to explore after the competition.
