Cradles to Crayons Service Project II
February 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
- This event has passed.
Middle School Field Trip.
Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth to age 12, living in low- income and homeless situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need.
CGS Student Council chose to work with Cradles to Crayons as a school service project to help children in need. They initiated a warm clothing drive and CGS families rallied to collect coats, hats, shoes, boots, blankets and other winter necessities.
The students (with some parents and teachers) will work at the Cradles to Crayons warehouse. They’ll sort, clean and organize donated items for children who need clothing, toys, boys, coats, boots, and more. They also made hand-written “Well Wish Note” with a message for each child recipient. CGS students, teachers and families alike were proud to sponsor the Cradles to Crayons effort.
