Chicago Grammar School seeks to admit students from families who are committed to partnering with CGS educators for the purpose of the academic, social and emotional development of their children. CGS admits the best-qualified candidates without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, disability, gender or sexual orientation.
Each applicant will have an individual meeting to assist the admissions committee in determining the developmental/academic readiness of each child.
For preschool candidates, the admissions committee’s decisions are based on the child’s developmental readiness.
For kindergarten and elementary school candidates, the admissions committee’s decisions are based on the child’s developmental readiness, academic record and teacher recommendation.
