Projects at CGS

Chicago Grammar School employs a project approach in the classroom. Working on long term projects is one of the central tenets of the Reggio Emilia philosophy for early education and CGS is committed to continuing this constructivist orientation in Kindergarten and throughout the elementary grades. When learning is accomplished through student-initiated projects coupled with dynamic and responsive teaching, the results can be compelling.
